Install WordPress in cPanel

WordPress installation is pretty quick using cPanel from any hosting company. Hosting companies like Bluehost, HostGator, BigRock, NameCheap, etc. are providing cPanel by default once you purchase any hosting account like Shared Hosting or Cloud Hosting.

cPanel is providing softaculous to offer one click install major required applications like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and other apps.

In this article, we will see how to install WordPress using softaculous in cPanel.

Install WordPress in cPanel

1. Login to your cPanel account using username and password provided by your hosting company to install WordPress in cPanel.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to see all the applications available in Softaculous. Click on WordPress.

3. You will be redirected to an another page, click on Install Now button to start the installation.

4. Fill the all the details in the text boxes as shown in the below image.

5. Select the latest version of WordPress or leave it by default.

6. Select the correct Domain Name and Don’t enter subdirectory path, if you enter subdirectory it will install as “websitename.com/subdir“. Don’t enter the path unless you required it.

7. Under site settings, select site name and description as shown in the above image.

8. Under “Admin Account” section, enter Username, change the “admin” user name to some other name for security reasons.

9. Enter Your password with special symbols, capital letters and numbers.

10. Give any Admin Email, it may be your personal email.

11. Select the language as English or choose your own language.

12. If required, enter an email at bottom box to receive installation details to your mail or click on Install Button to start the Installation process.

That’s it, You are now successfully installed WordPress in your domain.

How to Access WordPress Admin Dashboard?

You can now start posting your Articles.
